Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026 · Beta

The short version

Balworth collects almost nothing. No tracking cookies, no analytics scripts, no ads, no profiles. The only personal data we hold is the email address you give us if you choose to join the waitlist.

1. What we collect

2. Where it lives

The waitlist is stored with Supabase (our database provider) in the EU (AWS eu-west-1, Ireland), and is kept until subscriptions launch or you ask us to delete it.

3. Storage on your device

We set no tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for functional purposes only: your chosen layers and places, your settings, your cookie choice, and — if you join the beta — your email so the unlock persists on that device. You can turn preference storage off or clear it at any time via Cookie settings (footer of the home page, or the account menu in the map).

4. Third-party requests

Like any website, some content loads from third parties, which see your IP address as part of serving you: map tiles from the ONS (cdn.ons.gov.uk), fonts from Google Fonts, data from our own database at Supabase, and — only when you search a postcode — the postcodes.io API. None of these are used by us to track you.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time (with the waitlist, that's your email row — deleting it removes you from the list and, at launch, ends beta access). You can also complain to the ICO.

6. Contact

Balworth is operated by Muttlabs LLC. A dedicated contact address for privacy requests will be published here before subscriptions launch; during the beta, deletion requests can be made by replying to any email we send you.
